Lhendup is making his first Championship start. No player representing Bhutan has made the cut in the Asia-Pacific Amateur. Earlier in 2024, he competed in both the Bangladesh Amateur Open and the Nepal Amateur Open. He began playing golf in 2012 and is active in Bhutan’s golf community, regularly helping teach younger players in golf clinics and national federation camps.
