Zin is making his first Championship start. Seventeen golfers representing Myanmar have competed in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and in the inaugural edition in 2009 in China, Aung Win made the cut and finished T-30. In July, Zin represented Myanmar in the Southeast Asian Amateur Team Championship in Singapore.
