Hamid is making his first Championship start. Earlier in 2024 in Pakistan, he won the KPK Open Championship and finished T-3 in the Pakistan National Amateur Championship. In 2023, he had 11 top-10 finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking events, including T-6 in both the Pakistan National Amateur and the Pakistan National Games.
