Dahiya is making his first Championship start. Earlier in 2024, he won three World Amateur Golf Ranking events in India, finished fifth in the Singapore Junior Championship and competed in the Royal Junior in Japan. His 2023 included earning his first world ranking points and winning three World Amateur Golf Ranking events in India, including the Western India Junior Boys. Watching internet videos of Rory McIlroy helped inspire him to play golf.
