Pillay is making his first Championship start. Earlier in 2024 in Fiji, he finished runner-up in the Western Amateur Championship and seventh in the Fiji Golf Classic. In 2022, he represented Fiji in the Pacific Mini Games in the Northern Mariana Islands. Won the Nadi Open in Fiji in 2021.
