Shen is making his second Championship start. Last year at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia, he finished T-24 in his Asia-Pacific Amateur debut. In 2024, he has won the Hong Kong Close Championship and finished runner-up in the Thailand Amateur Open and T-3 in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam. His 2023 included winning the Faldo Series Hong Kong Championship, finishing eighth in the China Amateur Open and making the cut in the Asian Tour’s Hong Kong Open.
